Completion of the painting

Time to crack on with the painting and pick up the pieces from the gazebo disaster – and my painting turmoil continues!

The completed wheels, which I luckily removed from the gazebo prior to its collapse;

The new spray booth with items hung, etched and one coat of high build applied.

I had to take the gazebo down so when it was reinstalled I stuck in the roof, firstly all the scratches were smoothed out.

Once sanded, I flipped it over and did the underside of the gutter, here it is with high build.

 There’s not many photos of the remaining progress on the roof or other parts, but it took ages. I was having serious issues with paint reaction. I think I must hand sanded down and painted the roof about 10 times! Turns out it was the two types of thinners reacting as they were so new. A coat of Isolator sorted it out and the roof was complete. But it was seriously hard work, and soul destroying at points, luckily I found out the problems and my painting started to improve!

Then I moved on to the rear tub.

Now all the parts are paints, but that’s it for this update. Next the newly painted parts will be fitted!
